And if you do not care about beautiful women, you can still jive on the island’s scenic ambiance. The film also spices things up with frequent nudity. When they appear, the camera rapidly zooms in and out, which is headache-inducing. The monsters do, however, look awesomely gross! They shamble and growl like zombies and their pine green skin is covered with crusty growths of mold. The plant monsters arrive periodically to menace and kill people, but their violent acts are unimportant to the narrative. Mad Doctor of Blood Island is a slow-paced and talky film. And his childhood girlfriend is deranged from her obsessive hatred of the mad scientist. His father has transformed into a monster. One tragic character left Blood Island as a child and returns as an adult. The characterization is sometimes weak, but at least the story has pathos. Much time is spent developing the characters’ relationships to each other and the island. The plot of Mad Doctor of Blood Island revolves around the sordid and sinister history of the island and its people. The scientist callously continues to experiment, creating more horrible monsters. While trying to cure leukemia, the scientist injected some of the islanders with chlorophyll, changing them into grotesque plant-human hybrids. In various ways, these people become entwined with the island’s mad scientist. One is a former islander who has come to take his mother away. One is a woman seeking her estranged father. One is a doctor investigating rumors of green-blooded people. Each of the American visitors has their own agenda. The tropical island is populated by primitive villagers and a mad scientist. Next, a boat of Americans arrives on the isolated Blood Island. In Mad Doctor of Blood Island’s first scene, a naked woman runs through the jungle before being killed by a ghoulish green monster. Apparently, the liquid prevents people from transforming into monsters as they watch Mad Doctor of Blood Island. This involves drinking a test tube of green liquid.
